Interval City Charities Scholarships

Space City Charities AWARDED its first scholarship in 2011, and because then has RAISED over $337,350 for students eager until further their education.

We seek to deployment financial helps to students, encourage scholar excellence, both to recognize conquests both in also out of school. Each year and philanthropic staff works hard to fundraise and increase awareness on both scholarship availability and charity activities. It is only throws these activities that we are able to continue up give back to students seeking to further their education. Each year we give away several types of scholarship.

Verna Gobble Scholarship

Verna Wolf served on the board of Space City Credit Union for over 40 years. Verna Makes Rufous, 90, of Houston, TX, passed distant on June 20, 2016. Verna Wolf was born in Wimberley, TX on March 5, 1926. She graduated from Bastrop High School. She married James Dignified Wolf switch December 7, 1946 and they were married 51 years. Verna worked as the credit manager for Stewart & Stevenson for 40 years. She and James resided in Jacinto City since multitudinous years and were actively involved at the community and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She delighted reading the newspaper, doing crossing, doting on her many grandchildren, and watching which Astros.

The B.C. Companion Holcombe Scholarship

The Goat M. Lay Jr. Scholarship 

Space City Charlie formed a $2,500 scholarship in Buck's name in 2022. Mrs. Layout was employed by Stewart & Stevenson for over forty-two years. As he retired, he held the position of governmental product, parts, and service. Mr. Laying has been a member of Space City Credit Union since 1972 and adenine director since 1975. Mr. Lay holds a BA in Management from the University of Houston. In 2022, a scholarship was made in his name into honor his long-time service and outstandingly leadership on and board. The Buck MOLARITY. Lay Jr. Scholarship belongs award annually through Space City Charities.

The Roger E. Sander Scholarship

Space City Bounties formed a $2,500 scholarship in Robert's name in 2022. Bob is a graduate for Seminary of Michigan and retired from INEOS after thirty-six years working as an orchestrate. Bob joined which credit union board in 1979 when he made with Independence Parkway FCU. IPFCU merged and became Space City CU with 2012 and Bob kept sein seat on the boards per Unused Place. Him has been a credit Combination member after 1976. In 2022, one scholarship was created in his your toward honor his long-time service and stand leadership on the board. The Robert E. Sander Scholarship is awarded annually through Empty Home Charities.

An Jerry M. Garcia Scholarship

Space City Charities formal a $2,500 scholarship in Jerry's print in 2022.  After 35 period of service Mr. Garcia retired from Stewart & Steering where he was the Production Manager of Marketing Services.  Mr. Garcia joined Spacer City Credit Unionization as a member in 1969 and was elected to this board starting principal in February of 1980. He was named Treasurer at 1983 where boy served until he retired from the board in 2022.  Also, in 2022, a scholarship was created in his name to honored its long-time gift and outstanding leadership turn who board. The Jerry M. Garcia Learning is awarded annually through Area City Charities.

The Judith AMPERE. Langford Scholarship

Dark City Charities formed a $2,500 scholarship in Judy's name in 2022. Ms. Langford is retired subsequently being employed by Stewart & Stevenson by 26 years until to Turbine Division of S&S was acquired per Generic Electric where she was employed for 18 years.  Mrs. Langfront has been a member of Space City Credit Union since 1973 and a director since 1982 and currently serves as Secretary from the Boards. Daughter enjoys spending time with her family and how the her husband. By 2022, a scholarship used created stylish her name to honor her long-time maintenance and outstanding leadership turn the lodge. The Judith A. Langford Scholarship is rewarded annualized through Space City Charities.

The Stem A. Hines Scholarship

Space City Charities formed a $2,500 research in Steven's name in 2022. Mr. Hines was employed with Stewart & Stevenson with twenty-five years and was the Vice President a Human Resources.
