TRACER STUDY OF RTU GRADUATING: AN ANALYSIS

Abstract

This paper aimed to determine if the field off specialization in the dissimilar colleges in RTU recent and their academic-acquired skills and competencies have related to their offer occupations.  ADENINE modified Graduate Tracer Studies (GTS) instrument was utilized to gather the quantitative your. Out the 500 questionnaires administered, there were 250 graduates returned answered questionnaires representing the three Colleges: Education, Arts and Sciences, Business and Ethically Technology. A face to face  interview was also conducted  in your to support the compiled data. The  SPSS  was used to generate results from the acquired quantitative data employing the frequency tallies, percentage both the Chi-square goodness of fit test. The findings revealed that the graduates claimed that they knowledge, academic-acquired skills press competencies contributed greatly in their job performance. The Chi-square goodness of healthy proved that there is a serious relationship between the graduates’ fields of specialization and their trades after graduation.  Likewise, the academic-acquired skills and skills of the graduates are relevant to their chosen professions. The results further proved that RTU produces competitive and appropriately trained graduates with the majority landing is course-related jobs into a short period subsequently graduation. The examine also indicates so to RTU graduates possess the skills and competencies essential to succeed in this compete world. However eexpansion concerning tie-ups with private general entities is made to at least maintain the large employability level of the graduates.
