What to Pack

A Few Reminders

  • In terms of clothing, it's a good idea to pack layers for very hot days and cooler nights
  • Bring a hat and sunglasses for dirt dives
  • Don't forget the sunscreen
  • Bring a bathing suit in case you fancy a plunge into the swimming pool at the dropzone!
  • If you have a reusable water bottle, bring it and stay hydrated by filling it at the chilled water cooler right near manifest
  • Logbook and identification for checking in and waivering (for more, see below).

Check Your Gear!

In addition to your own usual list of gear for a skydiving trip, please pay careful attention to the following.

1. RIG(S). Your reserve must be IN DATE throughout the entire event. USPA has a 180-day repack cycle. If you have a second rig, consider bringing it as a backup, to avoid missing jumps in case of a cutaway. Non-USA Jumpers: You can purchase temporary USPA membership when you arrive.

2. Audible altimeter(s) and spare batteries. At least one audible altimeter is required. If you have more than one, please bring extras in case you need a replacement during the event. Have extra batteries on hand.

3. Hook knife.

4. Spares of everything:

  • Closing loops
  • Rubber bands
  • Cutaway/Reserve handles
  • Batteries Altimeter
  • Goggles
  • Earplugs
  • Gloves
  • Pull up cords

There is a full-service gear store, Square 1, on the dropzone should you need to stock up on any of these items. The loads will not wait, so make sure you have what you need ahead of time.

What Skydive Perris Says About Requirements:

Experienced Skydivers: First-Time Visit Check-In

When you arrive at Perris Valley Skydiving for your skydiving vacation, please check in at our Manifest office. Our helpful staff will walk you through the waiver and orientation process and get you in the air as quickly as possible. The Manifest staff can also provide other helpful information such as where to find packers, coaches and load organizers. If they don't know the answer to your questions, they will find someone who does!

The Waiver Process

  • You will pick up a waiver packet from the Manifest Office sales counter. Take the packet back to manifest once it has been filled out.
  • Please bring the following with you to the school with the packet from Manifest:
  • Your gear (if you plan to rent gear just advise us when you check-in)
  • Your log book
  • Your current USPA membership card (if your membership is not current, you can renew it when you check-in. You must have a current USPA membership to jump at Perris)
  • Your ID (driver's license or passport)

Please note that a Pro-Track can not be used to verify currency.

You will then return to Manifest with the completed waiver packet. The Manifest counter sales person on duty will enter your information into our computer and set up an account for you.
