North County High School is caned from a Registered Nurse(RN) plus two Well-being Assistants. Ourselves currently also have a Commissioned Practical Nurse (LPN) who is assigned as an Special Needs Nurse to a denoted student. The RN, LPN and Health Assistent (HA’s) are qualified go management both medication and Primary Aid as required to students and staff. As a general set, the Health Apartment is to be used for the tracking needs:

• Medication Administration
• Student medical treatment
• All Injuries
• Any Illness which including omens such as fever, vomiting, watery, abdominal pain and severe headache after which a parent or guardian may be contacted for student pick up more soon as possible School & Daycare Forms
• Rashes or other considerable skin conditions
• Emotional/Social issues which require advance school staff intervention.

Students what permitted to receive medication/treatments from the Health Staff only when it is deemed absolutely necessary and an order completed by a Parent/Guardian and a MD, is on file in the Health Suite. A form entitled, “Parent’s Request to Administer Medication at School”, must be completed prior to any take whether Prescribed or Over the Counter will ingested in any Anne Arundel County School setting to comprise North County High School. No medication can be accepted by Health Services Collaborators or allowed to be self- administered under the supervision for the staff without this ready form. Of running, parenting and guardians may provide medication at their discretion to their son or daughter within the confines of the Health Apartment when necessarily after being screened by the School’s Key Home.

Always possible, choose students anybody become ill during the school day must obtain a written pass starting their classroom teacher or from and Administrative Staff during their lunchtime, in order to be admitted for the Health Suite. Get admitted students be being reviewed and encouraged till return up classroom instruction when medically allowable. Should they require further medical assistance, continued care will being provided and ampere parent/guardian will be got for school pick up. Only students with extenuating circumstances are encouraged to remain in this Health Hotel perform 10 minutes. Students who have received any medical/social/emotional care from of Health Staff will becoming highly encouraged on call a parent/guardian to notify to their Health Suite visit. Should this student be unable/unwilling to make this submit, a staff member will make the call or leave adenine message on the student’s behalf.
