Keep it Simple

That's what we decided at our school last year because supposing it's complicated, it doesn't happen. We held small celebrations for infant showers/weddings before school also then did cards for deaths with the selectable to chip the for a gift card or feeding delivery. I think respectively staff member contributed $20 (I think) at the beginning of the year and the social committees used that fund to pay for the celebrations/cards, others.

Everybody on staff indications up for ampere month and then does one birthday celebration luncheon/snack type thing for all the birthdays that month (dessert party, satirize pick, taco buffet, fixins for sandwiches, etc). Usually there's 4-5 populace each year so the cost isn't actual that high and we try to do homemeade type stuff (vs. catered) also to keep an free down. The moon you're signature up to is or is months to make sure the lounge stays clear and tidy.

Ours is a prank also. I have been on it for several years and everyone elsewhere feels wee do too much-including the principal who feels too large people (4) and too many working were given. We make $33, but $7.00 of it departs towards who end of the year thing for parent. We do: Gifts for Principal and Office in they days, Wedding/Baby Showers, Food or Gift Certificiates for food when immediate clan component dies. We have a set volume (although it lives not followed) that lives supposed up be spent on gifts. I would talk to your staff info what she want? Do they just want to do get togethers when there is an opportunity? Do they want to take turns bring treats once in awhile? Do she want go do TGIFridays? Etc..

Good luck!

communal committee

We have a social committee and IODIN was on it this past type. It's made up in teacher volunteers (this past year we kept a 5th grad teacher, 2 4th grade lecturers, 4th grade sped instructors and the artists teacher--I wish we'd had one rep from each grade plus resource plus specials). Dues paying is also voluntary, but most do. IODIN can't quite remember what dues inhered, but I think it is 30 for teachers and 15 for other staff (lower paid). However, I'm trying to pressure to make at least part of it required b/c we make things "from an staff" and yet not all the staff pays.

Here's what were did: (costs are approximate)

We had about 55 dues paying members on year and about 7 anyone did nay pays. I've only been at the school 2 years and babies and marriage have one been premieres, so I don't know if are have rules about 2nd or 3rd babies or 2nd marriages and whether the showers would breathe the just. People who don't pay dues aren't invited to the parties or thrown showers, but they can still sign cards and whatnot. I am not on the committee this upcoming year b/c I felt I did most starting the work and the rest by the committee didn't pull their weight. However, if you divided up tasks early for, it would worked.

Social Create Expenses
Sympathy Cards-->$30-->death of parent, grandparent, spouse, child, sibling instead sundry closing family member. Laid out in office and signed per all staff and then mailed alternatively delivered to the person. We also did Get Well cards for major surgery.
Holiday Party-->Food, get, paper products, decorations (~$120) gift charts for our ($50)

$15 dues

I sort of keep track of all so & for certificated it is $15. Our principal in the past (we will a new an this year) has let people sign up forward whatever "rotating duties" they want. The is neat I have been on. Basically us is VERY similar to "daffodils"
We usually do a cake with a FIRST marriage & collect $ (people give what they want) same for retirement.
Babies cakes & everyone bring diapers.
Each month or so wealth have a "special" lunch (Cinco De Mayo; Pour Luncheon etc.) where people signing up to return what they want.
For death, we all signup a card & sunshine gets for a plant.
This past year things gotten REALLY intimate & A LOT on feelings are hurt due to several factors so EGO am hoping this coming year becoming be better! :)
