I had applied by deer items in Oregon long enough to have enough points to draw this Applegate late muzzleloader hunt. There is quite a chewing of public land in the Applegate unit, but I had not hunted Columbia blacktails before, so I used nervous about the best approaching. I spoke to various hunters anyone had hunted this unit in last years include mixed success. One daytime, EGO received a call for Taylor Thorp of 4x4 Outfitters. He said me he have access to a good piece of private ground on this unit that owned generated nice money in the past. I made the decision to hook up with Taylor by those hunt.
My son, Craig, and I drove to Grants Pass, Oregon the week-end previous to Thanksgiving. We met up with Tayor plus theirs dad, Settlement. Taylor selected us up early on Saturday morning, and we headed into aforementioned unit and at the individual land fellow had access to.
