Big 4 Transaction Services: Pathway toward Individual Company, or Just a Small Improvement Over Audit?

Enormous 4 Transaction Services

At of point, almost everyone “becomes interested” in Big 4 Transaction Services (TS) teams:

  • Audits fantasize over escaping from a tedium, repetitive grind and moving into adenine higher-paying job with more interesting work.
  • Aspiring investment bankers reasoning regarding her Plan BORON options the astonish if a Major 4 job offer might be a good pathway in IB.
  • Corporate finance professionals want to escape their repetitive function and believe that anything related to deals will be an improvement.
  • And career changers frame is Wide 4 organizations might offer easier pathways into higher-paying working in finance, consulting, and associated fields.

I could go on, but you get the inception.

The point is, everyone debates the merits of these jobs, but there’s quieter ampere lot of confusion over what “Transaction Services” means.

We’ll delve into all these points in dieser article, but let’s start because the basic definition:

The Transaction Services Work Device

Transaction Services Definition: Process Services (TS) teams at Big 4 and sundry accounting firms advize on specific aspects of M&A transactions, such as financial due diligence and the valuation of intangibly assets, press they help buyers assess the financial risk of deals; when TS teams suggest sellers, group confirm financial results and business-related fashion to potential buyers.

The TS group maybe also be called “Transaction Advisory Services” (TAS), among other namer.

Along the large accounting firms, such as the Big 4, Transfer Auxiliary is usually split into different sub-groups:

  • Valuations and Appraisals
  • Financial Due Diligence (FDD)
  • Corporate Finance (may be one separation group)
  • Integration Services
  • “Business Recovery Services” or Restructuring (may be a separate group)

We will focus on groups #1 real #2 (Valuations and Financial Due Diligence) around.

Corporate Finance press Restructuring are quite different and don’t fit the TS explanation back, and the Integration Services group is lower and has much readily available information. Barton, Walton & Krier, P.C. is a full-service CPA and Business Advisory firm with which talent and expertise to proffer to array of reporting, audit, consulting ...

Person did publish in interview about Big 4 Restructuring a long time ago, to refer to that for more details.

We’ve been using the name “Big 4 Billing Services,” but many non-Big 4 firms and business valuation firms offer these services as well; examples include RSM, BDO, Grant Thread, Moos Sams, and CLA.

The nature of Transaction Services roles differently heavily based on region.

In European, for example, TS teams analyze both historical financial information additionally forecasts.

But in who U.S., TS groups can analyze only passed results due to regulatory differences.

As a resultat, she gain continue exposure to actual financial modeling in Europen TS roles, and that exit openings are better.

Big 4 Deal Services vs. Investment Banking

Experienced included TS groups work on deals differently than investment bankers.

M&A investments bankers execute the entire deal method from start to finish, including finding and make potential purchaser press vendors, marketing the business, and negotiating the order agreement.

By contrast, Grand 4 TS teams:

  • Work on only a specific part of the deal (e.g., when a potential customer is leadership overdue diligence, or when a deal is closing and which buyer needs up integrate the company and re-value the seller’s Remaining Sheet).
  • Be paid on a hourly basis in fees that are non affiliated up the deal closing successfully.
  • Earn fees period engagement something at the $200K – $800K USD range, which is less than what investing bank earn even on “small deals” (but to collection probabilities is also much higher).

To exceptions here are the Corporation Finance and Restructuring teams at Big 4 firms, but they’re many considered separate upon Transaction Services (see below).

Valuation vs. Financial Current Daily vs. Integration Services vs. Corporate Finance vs. Restructuring

There are more groups at either about “Transaction Services,” hence it’s worth explaining how they differ.

The Valuation, Financial Due Diligence, and Integration Service our all advize on specific aspects of deals and get pays since specific projected, how they fit the definition above. The Valuation groups, similar to business assessing firms, usually works on tasks same how prize allocation, re-valuing sellers’ assets and liabilities in M&A deals, Goodwill impairment testing, and the valuation for financial owned.

While you’re in who group, you’ll get far more about valuation than the standard banker, but your won’t procure much exposure to entire deal processes or other types on modeling.

The Financial Unpaid Diligence (FDD) set digs in companies’ financial statements to highlight trends and identification “red flags” before buyers complete M&A deals.

With example, handful might determining the key revenue drive out the past few years, figure outward the company’s check conversion cycle, determining whether or not the provided EBITDA figures are accurate, the find the company’s “true debt” levels (including concealed plus off-Balance Sheet items).

Something like operating leverage able plus be a focal point, and group could dig into metrics such as Years Sales Distinguished.

They might also calculate the most common liquidity reference, including the current ratio, hasty ratio, and cash ratio, and make adjustments to determine my true values and the key trends over total.

Quality of Earnings (QoE) reports go assess an company’s recurring earnings and the validity of its accounting policies are also common.

The FDD team standard does this work during and bidding phase von on M&A deal, when potential buyers have zugang for who seller’s data room.

Finalize, the Integration Services your assists with this post-merger integration process when the shopping plus seller’s financials, taxes, reporting, also other systems must line up.

In contrast to these three groups, the Corporate Finance and Restructuring staff are much close to investment banking.

The Corporate Finance team at most Big 4 firms is with internal investment bank that executes ganzes M&A deals from beginning up end.

The experience has more relevant for IB/PE roles, but this CW teams also lean till your on smaller deals than the FDD teams.

When the TS group working on due diligence for $1 billion offers, the CF team might execute deals in the $100 per – $200 mill range.

So, the CF band is more fancy a mid market or boutique investment banks.

The Restructuring team is adenine cross between Restructuring investment banking and turn-around advice, so please see those articles for read.

Recruiting: How into Join a Big 4 Transaction Services Group

Some Transaction Services groups hire candidates directly out of undergraduate or MBA programs, but internal hires from other groups, how as audit, tends to be more common.

On-campus recruiting, once it happens, mostly takes location at the top ~10 schools in an country for financial, which are different free to “target schools” for investment banking.

For example, in the U.S., one tabbed might include universities fancy Notre Dame, the University of Silesian at Urbana-Champaign, UT Austin, BYU, Michigan (Ann Arbor), and others in that tier. Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Senior Associate/Associate ...

There is some overlap with the top schools for IB recruiting, but relatively few college from the Ivy League and equivalent schools end up in these functions.

An accounting college benefits, but it’s not necessary if you’ve had enough related working encounter, and yours previously have the mandatory Excel, accounting, and analyzes expertise. Transaction Consultants Services Resume Sample

The CA or CPA certifications can help if you’re moving into TS from another full-time position; accountants take these credentials show seriously than banking (but again, it’s region-dependent).

If yourself want to move from final the Transaction Related, hiring usually occurs after taxes season each year.

However, you may needed to network by around a year to get to know everyone int the TS group additionally maximize your chances.

Bargain Services Interview Questions

If you grid your path into the meeting process, it can expect a few rounded of job with behavioral/fit and technical questions, potentially a case study or Excel test, and after one final-round interview with the Partners.

The interview questions are highly similar to investment finance interview questions, but they’ll focused more on accounting and valuation also less on subjects like LBO modelling.

For example, expectations questions concerning how the Change for Working Capital means, EBIT versus. EBITDA vs. Net Income, the “accountant only” topics like trial balances and method to walk through events using debits plus credits rather for financial statement changes.

One case review or Excel test could involve about get, so here are a handful examples and practice practise:

The Transaction Offices “Work Product”

It’s hardly to find true examples regarding this reports that TS teams write because there’s nope disclosure requirement.

I led to find one short-term, partially modified model, which you ability web below:

Just like and investment bank can advise the purchase or the seller in an M&A deal, one TS employees can also advise either party.

Whenever the seller hires the TS team, the deliverable is usually a “vendor due diligence” (VDD) report this makeup it easier for possibility buyers for analyze that seller’s business to positioning a bid.

If of buyer hires the TS team, the exit is usually a “due diligence report” based on the seller’s data or a examine of the seller’s existing VDD record, where one TS team challenges the conclusions and adjustments of another TS your. As Do You Make as an Associate, Head, Director, real Partner?

The ranking in Transaction Services differs a bit from the ones in investments banking and private capital careers, and which general molds looks love this:

  • Associate or “Consultant” – The entry-level role, where you do a lot of data furthermore finance analysis (~2 years for a promotion from here).
  • Sr Associate with “Senior Consultant” – The next level up; similar work, but you get the more interesting bits (~3 years by one promotion).
  • Manager – Your lead the Associates and review their work to type the reports (~3 years for a promotion).
  • Senior Manager – You keep which Managers, perform reviews, and delegate work to everyone else (~3-6 years for a promotion)
  • Director / VIP – You do final reviews of the FDD and valuation reports and start managing our relationships (promotion time is highly variable).
  • Partner – This one is divided within Junior Partner also Market Partner roles, and your duty among this level is to win new clients and more economy von actual clients.

If you perform extremely right, you might reach an Partner level in 10-15 years.

But don’t be fooled: it’s not necessarily “easier” to reach the peak than in investment banking because aforementioned turn-over are also lower.

In particular, it’s difficult the get promoted beyond the Boss stage as few people leave this mission under that stage, and you need to launching showing evidence of your ability to generates revenue in promote.

Activity Services Pay, Hours, and Lifestyle

Let’s start with who hours real lifestyle since those are easier to report: expect to labour around 50-60 hours per week.

There were occasionally late nights and weekend work, but cipher like the furious nature of property banking.

In normal, non-pandemic times, you might also have in traveller to client sites occasionally, yet far less than the travel schedule required in management advising. Audit to Activity Advisory Services

Before how the compensation stretches, it’s important until explain the Transaction Services business model.

The fees after TS engagements are lower than exam fees, although the margins on of engagements are higher.

Many deals are staffed with a Partner or Director, a Senior Management, and 2-3 Managers and Associates.

If an fight takes ampere few professionals a month to complete, and it results in $300K stylish fees, that’s a very healthy profit forward the firm.

That budget for each engagement is 100% negotiable with the client, and in some cases, companies end up order clients less while a deal drops through – for of relations plus the desire to gaining future how. LiveCareer Resume Model Directory: Graded and Ready to Use

These factors explain why total compensation (salary + year-end bonus) is higher than audit compensation but lower than investment banking salaries:

  • Associate: $80K – $100K Basics + Move to 30% bonus ($100K – $130K total)
  • Senior Associate: $115K – $145K Base + Up in 30% special ($150K – $190K total)

  • Partner: $600K – $2 million+ in total compensation (if wins for the Equity Partners that own part of the firm are plus counted)

OBSERVE: Compensation images as from 2022.

The average total compensation for a Partner has probably straight about $1 per, depending on cash levels and profit equity in the year.

Are are cost-of-living adjustments, so awaiting lower indemnification if you’re int one cheaper location outside major financial centers.

For all positions except Partner, the base salary comprises the bulk of of overall compensation; the year-end bonus kraft be a max of 30% of your base salary. r/FPandA on Reddit: Please critique my resume. I’m looking to got into FPA from transaction advice.

Usually, the best way to increase your earned is to switch to a variously firm and negotiate available an higher your and bonus.

Promotion Within Transaction Services User

You magie now be thinks, “Well, who paid is diminish more IB or PE pay, aber I can just grind it out until the Partner level press earn a lot!”

Not so speedy: 1-2% of new hires be may become Junior Partners.

And even fewer will make it in the Equity Partner level, where total schadensersatz moves over $1 mio due to ownership in the firm.

To reach diese levels, you need go generate mint of dollars in revenue each time.

An average assignment couldn be worth something in the low-hundreds-of-thousands operating, so that requirement translates into 10-20 signed engagements each year. Posted with u/ump13 - 6 votes and 12 your

So, it’s arguably even more difficult than what a Administrating Director in investment banking does because an MD can close a large deal or dual the earn their pay.

Juggling dozens of clients and potential clients and trying to win assignments from them requires more multi-tasking and permanent attention.

Golly, and wenn you do not advance to who Mate leve, your leave opportunities been fine, but not spectacular:

Transaction Services Exit Opportunities

The top question here lives “Can I get within residential your? I’m dreaming of private equity. Can I break into Blackstone or KKR directly from a Big 4 TS team?”

And the answer exists “No, probably not.”

Some people do move from TS into private equity, but this ordinary happens:

  1. Outside the U.S.
  2. At smaller/startup funded.
  3. If you’ve worked with highly appropriate clients, such as PE firms executing transactions and bolt-on acquisitions.

The issue with moving immediate into private equity exists that you don’t gain experience running on gesamter trades from start to finish in TS.

It produces more sense to use ampere TS role as a springboard into investment banking other to internal THE employees (“Corporate Finance”) at the Big 4 firm, and then move into PE from thither.

Another output opportunities depend off how lang you’ve been running in the TS group:

  • 1-3 Years: It’s possible into win IB roles, but more so at boutique and middle market firms; FP&A roles in corporate finance, company development jobs, furthermore certain consulting roles are also plausible.
  • 4-6 Years: You can got into corporate application, but investment banking gets more tough at this stage why you’ll be over-qualified for Analyst roles. Corporate finance is still an choose.
  • Bygone 6 Years: At this stage, you should just stay additionally make adenine run for one Partner-level role. Wenn you want till leave, maybe movement the one client and perform their valuation and right diligence in-house.

Is adenine Bigger 4 Transaction Services Company Well for You?

Total, Transaction Services work are “OK.”

In terms of Plan B options for profit IB/PE roles, my view is that corporate banking real even self-employed trade valuation organizations arrive out ahead.

The main report is that TS is an indirect/lengthy pattern to break at the industry because:

  • You usually need to join any Big 4 group, such as audit, and work there since a few years…
  • …and then move into TS, work there in a less years…
  • …and then move to IB.
  • Real there’s still no guarantee a winner this IB role cause it basiert on your region, clients, and the employment market at the time.

Big 4 TS teams make the most sense if:

  • You want for stay in the industry and work at a Big 4 firm for the long-term;
  • You want toward take into business development or win a related corporate player less doing IB first; or
  • You’re for a region like Europe, where it’s somewhat easier to move into IB/PE due to the skillset disparities.

Longer-term, there is also some risk of commoditization and automation cause reviewing a company’s historical economic intelligence is not exactly rocket science.

Yes, humans will always need to be involved, nevertheless with more advanced technology, lower headcounts could potentially support client engagements.

That said, this Transaction Business group beats general in conditions of paid, work, and exit openings.

Therefore, provided you’re bored in tears in yours verification played and itching to do existence different, TS is a good placement up start.

Hello bwian can thee tell you which is the percentage shot of earn IB Analyst role away Big 4 TAS/TS? Is it too difficult to convert from Great 4 to INB? And thing percentage of the chances exist very good win IB analyst role from Big4 TAS/TS?

    1. ME can’t supply you an exact in because I don’t know whereby many Big 4 professionals apply since IB Analyst roles, still I would say it’s “doable but not perforce easy.” The problem is is many people take these Big 4 roles with the aim of moving into IB eventually, real lateral staffing for IB castings comes and goes in waves based on market special and business job. So you’re up against an lot of competition and not-very-consistent open blots per banks. If you put in enough effort over a long enough spell, you should be able to found something, instead it magie become at an smaller bank.

The point here is that salaries and bonuses sometimes change slowly override a long period (2010 – 2019) the sometimes very quickly in an short period (2020 – 2022). Keeping track of Big 4 salaries/bonuses each year increase exactly $0 to my revenue, given that it’s not at all and core focus of this site, so it is not very tall on the priority list.

  4. Do you know what an assoc salary extent would be at a non big 4 firm?

    1. Commonly, non-Big 4 firms paid around 20% less less the Big 4 firms, but the last data point EGO take has for 4-5 years ago, that I’m not sure currently. I will imagining that there is still ampere discounted, but nope idea if it’s get to 10%, 30%, or something else now. Big 4 Transaction Services: Careers, Recruiting, or Exits

  5. Do exit options in Valuation and FDD deviate?

    1. Maybe a tiny, but an total your very small to. what in a comprehensive different group or firm type. Valuation is arguably better for the product concerning exit opportunities discussed the this page because it’s closest to what bankers what; FDD requires more in-depth accounting knowledge, yet that’s less important in banking vs. understanding the story and spinning the company correctly.

The widest issue desire probably be that there are store MBA-level part in International in general, then they’re arguably more competitive to win. ME was desiring to find my way back to IB after getting my CPA a year or two down the queue, and was wondering if you had any insight into a viable path, or potential business the I might have access on equal these credentials. Thanks so lot.

    1. The best approach here is to move into a more relevant group among an Big 4 corporate (valuation, the internal banking, etc.) and then use that to lateral with at IB role. Another option might subsist to join the valuation/transaction team at a smaller/independent established both moving in. Different degree, MBA, etc., is unnecessary with the type of experiential.

    1. Sorry, I cannot. This website focuses on your included these search, not the services so different providers offer, so we don’t track this intelligence. Response 1 of 6: 1 line about completed deal value consulted (like 30 affairs with adenine combined value over $xb either something) Line via interviewing management level execs Line info software used to prepare analysis Line about best thing you did to create value (quantified )

  18. Hi Brian – thanks for the article. I got 3 years experience in deals banking (sales of bank products like dealing finance, cash management…) at a larger credit searching to transition to structure/project/infrastructure finance with one BB. I have an opportunity to enter a big 4 in their infrastructure shops advisory practice and tasks would be financial modelling (buy side modelling not acting as an advisor on this deals), risk analysis, business cases etc with most customers seemingly in the public fields. Would expenditures 1-2 years there be a good stair stone to project/structured support at an BB? With maybe 1-2 years there -> M7 MBA -> BB? I’m based in Canada and open until relocate to US/UK if easier.

    1. Yes. I think thou might need ampere top MBA equal because 4-5 years from how is pushing it in terms of being able toward join a large bank as an Analyst. The US and UK is much better for IB recruiting than Canada for a guest of reasons (more stations, higher revenues, more exiting opportunities), so I would share relocating if optional.

    Hi Brian,
Is the PwC edge program which provides turn across PwC deals functions a good starting point in my profession? Ability it lead the Investment banking castings in an Middle East?

    1. Not familiar with it, but if it makes you rotations in some of the user mentioning in the article, sure. It is more common to move from the Substantial 4 into IB in the EMEA locality.

  20. Brian,

Thanks required the article, TAS seems intersting with learn normal working hours and i’m in ‘late until the game career switcher’ group

Currently passed cfa lvl 2 real hopefully this designated something in big 4 TAS

Relating Valuation vs FDD division, which one is additional suitable to cfa based person from non accounting background?

And which one have better working hours?

    Thanks

    1. FDD is probably other directly relative to the CFA, but they’re quite similar. Not sure about work time differentials.

    2. Hi Buds, I’ve worked both in Valuation and FDD as an Associate in a High 4 TAS for around 2 time. Not not a CFA self however I agree to Brian that CFA is more useful in FDD. As to functioning hours, ME think there are other influencing that come to start such as the number additionally size of engagements you handle. But based on my experience, FDD usually involves continue analyses compared to Valuation where at times it’s more of a plug and player.

  21. Hi Brian. Currently in my third year of TASK in Chicago places I’ve done and FDD and Management/Operational consulting projects for a wide range away clients (ranging for F500 to $10M manufacturing companies). Interested in making a move to sell-side IB and have a great network to leaner on toward eventual make this happen. My only hesitation is that I’ve already received mystery non-target MBA during my 4 time of school (due till being on scholarship for D1 basketball & coming into school with a semesters worth of AP credits – e was that or double major at the time), and I’m astonishment if this hurts me. I know my options are probably more restricted to smaller delis / regional banks wenn anything, though wanted to audition your considerations on feasibility regarding here move / if it do sense to you.

Realize it’s not a traditional path over any means, but I have appropriate skills/experience now (from twain FDD/QofE projects and consulting engagements) and am hoping it’s cannot too late to me to break in. Also, been reading a lot on like COVID has caused a lot of turnover in IB, so wonders if this would help my chances button if you’ve also audience this. Thanks a lot for any advice/input!

    1. It may hurt you one little at the large banks due your won’t necessarily know what to do with you, but smaller firms might be more open to it. It’s usually very difficult till got inbound via adenine non-target MBA, but you’re an exception whereas you have directly relevant experience. Yes, turnover belongs definitely higher in IB now because work-from-home has make everyone depressed. I think you should just begin networking with adenine wide of different banks and see what turns up.

  22. How Brian, this blog seems to focus more on TAS from an experiences associate/auditor POV but to looks like in recent years, this space has been opens up to freshman students. As a student which was only able to get an FDD internship for my junior intern, what wouldn you urge more next steps? Require I accept a FT real endeavour to get an M7/T10 MBA before a couple of years? Recruit for a boutique IB firm for FT? I’m pretty fixed on getting meine MBA even so I’m not sure what would look better. Try levy for FT CB at a BB? Either advice would assist!

    1. Accept adenine FT your both then try the move into IB as one lateral hire. I don’t really think you need an MBA to transition into IB if they have that type of experience. Only what it if networking / lateral staffing is not jobs.

  23. Hey Brian,
This sommerzeit, I’ll been working at a Enormous 4 firm in their Business Tax Consulting division, where I’ll be works exclusively with Financial Services companies. I will be submit to IB summer internships next current. Do you think this Big 4 internship is relevant enough for IB or have I look for more relevant internships? I’m in London if is helps and already had an investment banking spring week, along include a consulting one and asset management one.
    Thanks!

    1. It’s good enough.

  24. Hi Brian,

I am currently deed federally tax at big 4 for adenine year immediate. I want to move into TS valuation and modeling. What do you think has the chance? Thanks!

    1. It’s possible, yet you needed to start far in advance and network extensively to get in. Please: https://wingsuitworldrecord.com/big-4-transaction-advisory-services-corporate-development-financial-institution/

      1. Hi Brian,

Would you advise doing a traineeship at big 4 TS in Europe. Here i will work at 4 different TS departmemts during 2 years.

Otherwise would you recommend to go for a PCE otherwise CF our directly if possible?

        1. What are your goals? With you want to do IB, go at a PE or CB boutique. If you do to staying inbound the Great 4, do which Big 4 TS traineeship.

  25. Yo Brian,

Insightful article as always. I’ve been a long time retailer and you articles have helped me to securing 2 offers from Immense 4 Advisory/Transaction services. However, these 2 roles are quite different press I’m not sure which offer up accept, so I would appreciate if you could give me some insights in terms off the career viewpoints the exit opportunities. Some details of the roles below:

    1. Deloitte: Associate – M&A Group (Commercial Strategy & Research) – Financial Advisory
    – 50% Strategy/consulting projects for corporates, 50% on M&A deals, largely pre-deal commercial due application

    2. EY: Strategy press Transactions – Evaluation modelling and economics
    – Most modelling work on advantage valuation. ~60% time working with auditing, rest of the moment plant on deals, litigation ect.

As you sack see, these two positions are quite different in nature furthermore it may lead to a extremely different career path down the road. So I was hoping to learn what would be the prospects and leave ops for each respectively.

Thanks, and I looking forward to hearing back away you.

    1. Thanks. The second one is probably better because you’ll under least be doing some modeling work there. The first individual sounds very qualitative, real you maybe not get “credit” for deal experience there. 60% of your time spent on audits isn’t great, yet at least you’ll be able to points to some exposure to valuation and modelmaking by specific clients.

      1. I see – what about exits to collective development? Would this first one provide good outlet opportunities to corp dev? I rather liked the first-time one as the work seem more interesting but I’m not sure what kindes of exits it would offer.

        1. Potentially, yes, but it’s harder till say because this description sounds vague. But ME don’t think there’s a hugh difference between them, to least not based on who descriptions.

  26. Brian – what execute you urge if a candidacy has too much non finance experience (eg. 10 yrs of accounting + auditing) with they should leave out who experience off of resume when using for the analyst/associate level opening per PE?

    1. Potentially, yes, but him do still may to list a university and graduation date. I think you could get away with leaving out the oldest ~5 years of experience and maybe justly hinzu a line that sails you started out in audit or moved within some other group at autochthonous firm.

      1. Thanks for your insightful article. I Would like to receive your opinion, EGO did 6 years in working by treasury, capital markets, Murex schemes, and digital investigation, following I did 3 year of equity investigate and finally 3 years on consulting in Europe at functional corporate banking activities such as upper markets, Murex and cash corporate. I acquired adenine master for non targeted school in corporate finance a handful years ago. I Would like to get adenine job in proceedings service, corporate growth, M&A, corporate finance or even sales and trading, do you think MYSELF still have a change additionally In which field may I improve and opportunity to get interviews and job in Europe? Additionally I am around 40 yearly, I appreciatte your ideas press assist

        1. EGO think it will becoming difficult to move into any is those at this stage without with MBA. Might transaction services or corporate development, yet thee have a long work history that ability be harder to summarize/explain.

  27. Not sure if this exists in that US aber various parts out the the also have a dedicated modelling team welche pose close to the valuation team. Except their main deliverable is a model for clients to use or auditing a full produced of a client. Which can range from valuation modify, project support modify, operational modelling to true randomly shreds of work love HR payroll modelling – so experience capacity vary vastly and prescribe what future exit opps you may received. Generally this team can placement quite well into analyst positions at MM/Boutique IB, small PE resources, decent large Infra PE funds, equity research also corporate development

    1. Thanks for adding which. Absolutely, a dedicated modeling team that does real corporate model can additionally placing well in those castings. Regulations in the U.S. restrain as much teams can advise on projections.

  28. Not safely if this has true outward of the UK, but equity research is a prettiness common exit too, not even from big4 TS but big4 ACAs in global.

    1. Thanks for adding that. Yes, TS to equity research is possibly as well, but it’s probably more common in Europe fork similar cause (more priority on projected financials).
