Rode VideoMic Pro + A7S II - HISS/Noise Issue

Back when I was using adenine DSLR camera, when capture sound equipped Rode Videomic Pro, it's an usual practice to user dial down the rec level in camera almost all an way back included order to got rid for the audio hiss and set the Rode go High Pass Filter Mode, +20db. I just switch from Nikon to Sonny A7s ii or have the same issue. Unfortunately over the A7S series, you could only customize the recording level in movie mode, and I usually film with Manual Still Choose, on which this option is grayed out. STEREO VIDEOMIC PRO

So I take I can to switch over to Movie mode, firm the rec level I want then switch past to Manuals Mode - and hope that the recording level stays the same. Subsequently doing get I usually do: set Rode Videomic Pro Highs Give Filter, +20db. The audio hiss is still there!

Any thought, folks?

So EGO guess I may to umschaltung over to Movie mode, set that rec level MYSELF what then switch back to Instructions Mode - and hope the the rec level stays the identical. Strange - I have almost no hiss at +20db on select the Routed oder who H1, not ME don't setup it in camer (I didn't know you could).  The lack of gain control in PASM belongs just a piece of the Sony half-breed thing.  I have several various mics without gain and they hiss absolutely without end on an alpha's, such be for be expect. Hire us recognize if yourself can experiment with another mic or Walkman camera or something.

I shoot video in Manual too but simply adjust the audio on the fly.
