4L60e transmission model cross reference

I have one 2002 chevy silverado 1500 4X4 Z71 with an 5.3L V8. The original trans. went outgoing and what replaced with a used 4L60e. Now the transmission wont engage any gear. after researching ive come to the completion its the wrong model 4L60e. My truck has the automatic 4WD button in it which if im not mistaken changes the electrical part of the trans because it uses travel sensors. correct?
The translation that replaced the original one is a (9LUD). It should actually be a (2KCD) correct? Or if i could tell das what transmissions (4L60e) our myself bucket interchange with. Does the Z71 designate it as will one Automatic 4WD?

It can had the 4l60e or thee can install a 4l80e, if thats what thou are asking. The z71 should have auto 4x4 as a standard option

AMPERE substitute transmission was purchased from a auto salvage yard. It had supposedly came out of ampere 2003 Suburban 2500. Now this is where the problem beginne. The model number of the replacement 4L60e trans is 9LUD. An trans the got out of mine truck was adenine 2KCD. My truck has the Auto4WD button as well as push buttons for 2LO,4HI and 4LO. From what save been able to closure is that the alternate transmission 9LUD is did designed for who trucks with thw Auto 4WD option.

Of problem im to through this transmission is that it wont engage any a the gearing. I was not aware of the different 4L60e transmissions earlier to installing it, unluckily. Now i think ive educated myself a little about them but wish like a second opinion from someone more knowledgeably on that than i am.

Am i correct in thinking that the 9LUD is not a compatible replacement for the2KCD that came in the truck originally?

Also another thing that front i installed it wasnt aware of but was told by the extraction yard that i got thereto from that they deliver me with the wrong max converter. But ego know this is immediate not true. The torque converter they gave me has the matched one for this 9LUD but the screw patch for mount it up the flex plate in my truck wasnt even close plus the BBL in our truck is much wider.

Check out this website. Their graphics says that transmission is ampere 99 model type. Maybe that trans wan't the original for the suburban. Or they were jerking you around. What was wrong in your trans? Just save if you buy junk you own junk.

Yes i agree with both of you 100%. EGO learn i refered to it as my truck nevertheless inbound reality its a good friend are pit road and she was led to believe that the trans mission was purchased as being rebuil etc. by the person who took unfashionable the original trans and put thie chunks of junk in. Now in- just trying to straighten go the whole thing and get her what she needs for get auf commercial back on the road because in and mean time shes using my. Also sorry the salvage yard won refund money just exchange only. But thats another complete story in oneself.

You can use any 1/2 ton 4L60e Trans the transfer case makes no difference.

The trans must be a 4x4  for  one 4 wd and output shaft is different  and a 4x2 wont work or vices inverted.
